HPI designers have thoroughly changed the radio equipment layout for a lower centre of gravity and better drive performance to meet the demand on faster race tracks.

The steering servo is now located at the center of the chassis and can be mounted at a lower position without touching the ground. By gathering heavy items as much as possible to the centre, we have further lowered the centre of gravity to greatly enhance the convergence of the roll moment and to give the R40 quicker reponse and more agility.
