It has come to our attention that a small number of Jumpshot
MT's (#160260) and Jumpshot SC's
(#160267) from a recent batch (2023)
have been supplied with an incorrect motor. Our investigations have
found they are not 12T as labelled and specified by our supplier,
but are 18T instead. This greatly reduces the RPM output we expect
from the 550 12T motor, limiting the top speed & acceleration of
Jumpshot brushed models and this is not how we expect the Jumpshot
to perform out of the box.
The 18T motor does not affect the general running of these Jumpshot
models. The 18T motor can continue to be run without causing other
chassis problems.
If the top speed of your new Jumpshot MT or SC is around 16mph (26 Kph) on a smooth flat surface and the motors outer can be identified as the 18T motor in the below images and you wish to have it replaced, please contact your retailer for warranty replacement.
